It as a curved polycarbonate body that looks funky,less chunky, simple yet stylish and is sure to attract the market. But this body also attracts a lot of scratches so you’ll have to handle it with care.
The display is 480 x 800 pixels resolution having a 252 ppi pixel density and 3.7 inches,this AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. Even though the pixel density is a bit sharper but the display of text is not that clear. This may be because of an issue with Windows Phone OS, which is still playing catch up to Android and iOS. Even the resolution is limited by the OS.
It comes with 16GB on internal memory, but no expandable microSD.
It runs a single core 1.4GHz MSM8255 Snapdragon/Scorpion on Windows Phone OS with the Mango Update. The single core processor has been probably chosen because the OS still does not support multi-core processors.
The camera, as expected from Nokia is top-notch. It is an 8MP/f2.2 shooter with AF, and Carl Zeiss Optics and dual LED Flash. The quality is really good, and this is probably the best feature of the phone. Its quality can rival that of the iPhone 4S’s shooter as well.
The battery will provide 13hrs of talktime on 2G and 9.5hrs on 3G.Upto 55hrs of musicplay
Other features-With a unibody design,the battery is inaccessible and top mounted flaps to cover the charging port and sim slot. Nokia has gone with the microSIM route, as is the general industry trend to switch to the new standard.
It seems to be the first indicator that Microsoft wants to play with the big boys. Yet, the mobile is not refined as its competitors.
Nokia Lumia 900:
Another mobile from this series the Nokia Lumia 900 going to be released this 2012 with upgraded features like another support for LTE connectivity for high speed internet, a front camera with is missing on the 800, a larger screen (4.3″ but with the same resolution) better storage, and last but not the least a complete new set of 20 games on agreement with Electronic Arts. The key factor is that this is one of the first Windows phones to be announced for the LTE connectivity, which up until now had been dominated with Android phones. This phone will be exclusive to AT&T for now.
